For a moment, the three of them stood in silence on Maddie’s frontstep. She was obviously overwhelmed by the sudden revelation, and tears started to stream down her face. Maddie wiped the tears away and sniffed, after which she turned around and gestured for the sisters to follow her inside. Emily and Cassie sat down in the living room, filled with emotions due to the unexpected reunion. Maddie still looked at them in disbelief.
