“What’s going on here?” a familiar voice boomed through the silence. Sarah felt so relieved she stopped running and wiped the tears from her eyes. In front of her stood Tom. Her boss, caught off guard by Tom’s sudden appearance, quickly composed himself and dismissively said, “It’s nothing,” before returning to the restaurant. Sarah let out a deep sigh and took a minute to recover. Tom stared at her in confusion.
