It was as if the crocodile was escorting them, using the boat as its personal plaything, pushing it to where it wanted to go. Then, a surprising thought struck Simon. “Could it be…” he muttered, his eyes fixed on the creature, “Could this crocodile be trying to communicate with us? Is it trying to lead us somewhere?” The thought seemed far-fetched, even absurd.
