Every time she turned around, she half-expected to see a pair of eyes watching her. She shook her head, telling herself it was just her imagination playing tricks. The dogs had gone back to their hiding spots, leaving her to walk the path alone so it couldn’t be her usual friends. As she continued her trek, however, the uncanny feeling persisted, almost as if she wasn’t alone.
