The space beneath Kate’s kitchen sick led directly to the crawlspace beneath her house. If Sadie had managed to squeeze through that tiny gap in the cabinet (which Kate was still impressed by), she would have landed there. From the crawlspace, it was only a straight line bolt toward an opening in the side of the house. Which eventually led to, you guessed it, the garden. “So that’s how you do it, but why?”
