Kate shifted into the next gear and ran as fast as possible to gain ground on the speedy little pup. Eventually, she managed to catch up with it, but Sadie didn’t seem to mind that she was being followed. She just continued her route, guiding Kate deeper and deeper into town. Together, they traversed through dark cobblestone streets and dimly lit alleyways. They were places Kate normally stayed away from.
