While examining the reptile, Dana started to speculate about the possibilities. Mostly, she tried to think of ways in which her daughter would turn out to be an innocent bystander. Maybe the turtle ran away on its own, and Stacy found it. Was she on her way to return it? No, that didn’t make sense.
