Maddy’s mind had been racing since she saw the picture, and her mother claimed she wasn’t that woman. “Maybe it’s your sister?” she asked, hoping her mother would’ve had some secret sister she had never told her about. But Maddy’s mom responded that she didn’t have a sister. But she wasn’t very convincing.
