The K9 readjusted the panda in his mouth and nudged Kate to walk deeper into the forest. Kate hesitated for a moment, peering between the trees. Sunlight hardly reached the ground here, which made her nervous, even though she could still hear birds chirping overhead. The dog, however, didn’t falter. He glanced back at her with those calm, watchful eyes as if reassuring her that they were on the right track.
