A little over four hours later, that work arrived on Sarah’s doorstep. She was at home when the door to her house flew open. It was still dark inside the house as if nobody had been there all day. Some light shone through the kitchen window, but most of the glass was still shielded by curtains like it was during nightfall. Footsteps carefully made their way into the hallway.
