Ireland is a place filled to the brim with natural beauty and amazing spots for tourists and residents alike to visit. The nature within Ireland is one that is renowned across the globe and continues to fascinate people year by year.
As there are so many beautiful spots within the small country, it can be hard to know where to start looking if you want to visit. You can get a lot of the country into a short visit given its size and the ease of driving between different locations, but it is important that you know where you want to visit first so that you won’t miss out, just as with any trip.
So, to help you out a little, let me share with you my top 3 favourite spots of natural beauty to visit in Ireland, both North and South.
Let me know where you want to visit first in the comments below! And let me know what spots are your favourite in Ireland too so that I can add them to my own list.
The North Coast of Ireland
The North Coast of Ireland is filled with beaches, scenic views, wild rocks, and spots of natural beauty. It is known as a peaceful spot, with only small towns in the surrounding areas.
The Giant’s Causeway is one of the most famous attractions in this Northern Ireland spot, with its intriguing geometrical rock formations. There is a lot of history and culture to be found at this site too and it is a great one for a guided tour. There are some stories that you won’t want to miss at this site.
The Mourne Mountains
The Mourne Mountains are a spot of exceptional Irish natural beauty and they have been used regularly for the filming of top TV shows and films including Game of Thrones.
The mountains are quite remote with only neighbouring small towns and villages accessible by foot and car. They are very quiet mountains and they are a great space to escape to for some peace and quiet.
You will find lots of people and dogs walking peacefully in these mountains alongside the odd film crew. It is a great place to join in with the crowd, either way. You can quickly escape for a pint of Guinness in a local pub, too, which never goes amiss after a long hike.
The Ring of Kerry
The Ring of Kerry encompasses a larger area than the past two entries in our list and it is a great way to see lots of the sights of Southern Ireland in a short space of time. It is a scenic route that can be travelled by car and it includes amazing sights such as the Cliffs of Moher and Torc Waterfall.
If you want real Irish beauty and you want it fast, start planning your own route for The Ring of Kerry right now.
You will never regret it, that’s for sure.
